Noor Butt is a Pakistani artist, writer, lecturer, and researcher based in Ontario, Canada. She received an MA in History of Art from the University of London, Birkbeck College in 2020, and previously a BFA from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) in 2017. With 5 years of experience in interdisciplinary fields of art, academia, museum research, and critical essay-writing, her professional portfolio includes projects with internationally recognized organizations such as Qatar Museums, the Karachi Biennale Trust, and Vasl Artists’ Association. As a writer, her essays have been published in ArtNow Pakistan, the Karachi Collective, and Hybrid - Interdisciplinary Journal of Art, Design, and Architecture. Also a creative practitioner in studio art, her work has been displayed at Koel Gallery, O Art Space, ArtKaam Gallery, and Alliance Francaise. She has taught art history courses in the undergraduate Liberal Arts program at IVS.
